See you soon!!

Packing up and getting ready to head home
Baptism! I'll be home very soon so I'm not emailing. Love you all!
Sister Hansen

"K" got BAPTIZED!!! What a way to spend one of Sister Hansen's
last days in the mission!

A good friend, Tiffany Schwebach, from our Kaysville ward who recently moved to Fresno
was helping at last weeks Zone Conference and look who was also there!

Parents note:
Well, this is all we got today. Don't know what else to say other than a baptism will always trump writing a letter home. We are so excited to see Sister Hansen come down that escalator at the airport on Wednesday. She has served our Heavenly Father well and we know that He is pleased with her service. She will be reporting in Sacrament Meeting on December 30th at 1:00 p.m. at our stake center located at:

 Farmington Oakridge Stake Center: 1955 S 350 E, Kaysville, UT 84037

Thank you for your love and support while Allison has been out doing the good work of our Lord, Jesus Christ and building up His kingdom in the Modesto/Fresno Missions. We are so grateful for your prayers, concerns and your friendship. It's been a wonderful journey and I am very torn about having it all end, at least the full-time part. Allison has grown, changed and learned so much these past 18 months. We are so grateful that she chose to serve a mission. It has strengthened her testimony and taught her lessons she couldn't have learned any other way. It was the absolute best thing she could have done and again, we thank you for being a part of it.

Merry Christmas! May the spirit of Christmas and the love of our Savior be felt in all of your homes this beautiful season as we celebrate His wondrous birth and exemplary life.

Signing off with love for each and every one of you,
Gary and Becca Hansen

God's House and God's Rules

Sister Hansen, Sister Houghton and Sister Berry
Good Afternoon, My name is Sister Hansen. I am a missionary from the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I share messages about Jesus Christ. I know that the messages that we share can't all be learned at once, but God cannot hold himself back if we show him our faith through action. I know that the Gospel of Jesus Christ will bless you in ways that you can't even imagine. Just on the other side of the gates of baptism will you see the incredible power, strength, and love that our Heavenly Father has. God is our Loving Heavenly Father and he wants us all to return to him again. I encourage everyone to build or strengthen your  relationship with our Father in Heaven, He wants to hear you. You will never understand the joy that comes from our church unless you put in the effort. This divine knowledge has been an incredible guiding tool in my life and has blessed me so much. I love this church and I know it is true.

HELLO EVERYBODY!
Alright we think it is legit this time. The person we have been teaching is on date for this Sunday. She booked a plane ticket for her friend that introduced her to the Gospel, so we are pretty sure it's going to happen. She is prepared, but she just needs the faith that Jesus Christ will make up HER differences. There was a certain situation that happened this week that was totally my fault. I just said something for the safety of everyone (I always do the dirty work) and she sorta took offense in it. Not because it was me but because of the subject. It was just very tender to her. She came to church on Sunday and after Sacrament Meeting she told us that she almost just completely gave up, but her friend helped her come to her senses. When you understand the word "Chastise", life is just so much better. When God loves you enough to "show unto them their weaknesses. [He] give[s] unto [them] weakness that they may be humble; and my grace is sufficient for all men that humble themselves before me; for if they humble themselves before me, and have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them." She was able to understand that this is "God's house and God's Rules". It was an empowering moment for her and she made it through. We are excited for her.

Here is a new one, hold on. We got this referral from some Elders and we went to his house. We asked him if he would be baptized the first time we met him and he said absolutely. He came to church this last week and he is on date for January 5th. So life is good. Have a wonderful week!

Love you,
Sister Hansen

It was COLD!

I got emailed out so soon. So sorry.

This week we had the Children's light parade and two zones of missionaries came and set it up. We had a ton of trees on a big semi truck trailer, a ton of lights, and a manger scene. It was awesome! We were freezing because it was raining all day. It was COLD!

Also our heater is broken and it is cold... we woke up one morning and it was 54 degrees.... let me tell you, it was so hard to get out of bed. We are going to get some portable heaters... cause it was cold.

Time keeps happening and I feel so good about it. I have been through a couple different phases of going home. 1) Denial 2) Accepting 3) Angry (because I keep meeting people I want to continue teaching) 4) God's plan is perfect 5) Excited. I switch around quite a bit. Home. What a place.

Have an amazing week! Hopefully my email next week will be more exciting.

Love,
Sister Hansen

P,S. Sorry no pictures

Mom's note:
Sister Hansen will be home in 2 weeks! As you would expect, writing letters home every week gets a little tedious toward the end. We are so excited to have her home and look forward to being together as a family for Christmas for the first time in a while. Needless to say, if she's not trunky, we are, but she's determined to work hard to the very end and return home with no regrets. There's no other place we'd rather her be. We'll get her soon enough. Right now it's her time and privilege to be the Lord's full-time missionary.

See you soon!!
